In my previous post, I covered the process of deploying the NSX-T appliances and joining them to the management plane to have the foundational components ready for us to continue the configuration.In this post, I will cover all the configurations required to get NSX-T Fabric ready for network configurations in order to run.
A fabric node is a node that has been registered with the NSX-T management plane and has NSX-T modules installed. For a hypervisor host to be part of the NSX-T overlay, it must first be added to the NSX-T fabric. Add a Hypervisor Host to the NSX-T Fabric.
After manually installing NSX Edge on ESXi or Bare Metal, configure an NSX Edge to the NSX-T Data Center fabric as a transport node. A transport node is a node that is capable of participating in an NSX-T Data Center overlay or NSX-T Data Center VLAN networking. Any node can serve as a transport node if it contains an N-VDS.

A fabric node is nothing but a hypervisor hosts which has all the required NSX-T packages installed are called as the fabric nodes. The hypervisor hosts can be ESXi or KVM hosts, the KVM can be installed on Ubuntu or the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server .
